I went to Munising long ago, around 1978, in a Scholarship Program, I stayed at the Hulsizer´s home, they where great people that took care of me then, an received me in their family.
I found Munising real pretty, the views were wonderfull and I had a great time there, met lots of people, and still chat with some of them.

My Mother is from Munising, she was adopted and raised by ann boucher. She always spoke of munising and how much she loved it. I was born in sault st marie but lived in munising til age 4. Love the website really shows how beautiful munising is.

We were there two weeks ago. I keep running pictures of Munising and Grand Marais through my mind's eye. Can't wait to get back to Rock River Cafe at Chatham. Great food in a building (Pacific Hotel)completed (1904)before Munising was incorporated as a village (1905).

It's been a couple years this August to the UP but I love the Munising area and meeting all the visitors from various states AND countries. We gave a ride to a Swiss couple that were 9 miles the wrong way from thier vehicle.
The weather was a little bit of every thing. The water was cold and clear and we spent a little time snorkleing
on the various beaches.
We also attended the UP State fair. This was the year the State turned it over to the UP.
