FINE ART & DESIGN
Artist's Statement:
Please allow me to introduce myself. I am a local landscape painter working in oils. As you can see from the following selection, I am particularly moved by common, everyday scenes from rural upper Michigan. Old farmsteads, fishing boats, and landscapes interest me because of the stories they tell. Please consider any of these paintings and if you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Sand Point Spring
This painting is from a spring morning as I drove to work on Sand Point. The woods on Grand Island were a bright yellow-green and the shadows lay long on the beach. A light breeze ruffled the surface of the lake. A beautiful beginning of the day. 14"x18" oil/canvas board—$225 |

Wilderness Lilies
A canoe trip one recent autumn lead to this painting of water lilies in the Big Island Lake Wilderness Area. This "mini-Boundary Waters" is a perfect weekend getaway. 18"x24" oil/canvas—$250

Bridalveil Falls
The Pictured Rocks cliffs are the icon of the Munising area. The cliffs are a wonder of color and texture at all times of the year but particularly during the bright days of summer. 9"x11" oil/plywood—$125

ET Road Barn
A few hearty souls continue to farm in the Eben, Trenary, Chatham area. This fine old barn lies along one of the major roads in the area, seen one snowy day as I was fetching horse feed. 16"x28" oil/canvas—$225
