Despite the frigid temperatures (in the single digits) last Friday’s holiday event in downtown Munising was a success! A lot people came downtown to see the tree lighting, visit with Santa and take part in a scavenger hunt. Many businesses also stayed open later to accommodate shoppers. Below are some pictures from the event.
As for snow, we’ve got a ton! It looks like late January with the high snow banks rather than the beginning of December. Currently, there is 17″ on the ground in Munising and more out of town. The snowmobile trails are being groomed regularly as well as the cross-country ski trails at Valley Spur. Now is the perfect time to visit Munising and see our winter paradise!
